Your Trusted Academic Coach

Student Athlete and Academic Coaching

photo of a school gym of a student athlete in Longmont to Loveland areaSo– you are good as a student athlete. But- are you good in school? How is your ACT score? Tutor Doctor Longmont to Fort Collins gives the student athlete the support to achieve academic excellence in the classroom.  We also have the flexible schedule to accommodate for practice times. Remember–Student athletes need to catch the eye of the coach, and then prove to have the combination of athletic ability, mental toughness, and intelligence (both on the football field and in the classroom) to keep the coach’s attention.

Here’s why it’s important to use that college scholarship to earn a degree that’s going to pay you at the level of a college graduate once you’re out of college:

  • Just over 3 percent of high school men’s and women’s basketball players make it to the NCAA.
  • About 6 percent of high school football players go on to play for a college team.
  • Only 6.5% of high school seniors playing football will go on to play college football. It’s quite an achievement just to get to the college level of athletics. It’s even more rare to get to college and play with an athletics scholarship.

If you’re one of the over 20,000 college freshman that get into playing college football each year, only 1.5% of that group will make an NFL roster. On average, by the age of 24, you’ll be done playing football if you make it that far.
It’s time to hit the books. (source: recruit757.com)
