Math tutoring is our most popular enrollment subject at every level from early elementary—such as Eagle Crest Elementary, Erie Elementary, or Hygiene Elementary– to middle school – such as Westview Middle School or Sunset Middle School– through high school—such as Lyons Middle/Senior High School or Silver Creek High School– even college students at Front Range Community College.
Math is the ultimate building block subject- we all know that if we can’t add well, we will have trouble subtracting. If we don’t work well with the basics, we struggle with other math functions- fractions, decimals, algebra, and so on. At Tutor Doctor Northern Colorado we use the Building Block Learning method to improve your confidence, study skills, and grades.
We hand select a tutor for each student based on their learning / personality style, needs and goals. Our math tutoring will work to fill in foundational gaps, understand current concepts, and move ahead in the curriculum.
Students apply science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) concepts using 21st century skills and inquiry-based design thinking models to create innovative solutions to authentic problems enhancing post- secondary and career readiness. STEM curriculum provides students the skills to succeed in advanced education and a fast changing and highly competitive global economy. Not only do students need science or math concepts, but they need to know how to write to communicate and prepare papers. Does your child attend a STEM school and need help to succeed? Grades in STEM courses must be a C or better to be eligible for certificate.
Exclusive only to Niwot High School the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme is an internationally recognized prestigious college preparatory program for all interested students of the St. Vrain Valley Schools. AP examinations are graded on a scale of 1 to 5, with 1 indicating “no recommendation” and 5 indicating “extremely well qualified”. “I would highly recommend Tutor Doctor. Our daughter was having a lot of trouble in math class. This caused a lot of stress and tears in the evening. We meet with Jay and Susan and they set us up with Kelli. Kelli worked really well with our daughter and was able to help her raise her grades. Imagine how proud we were when she brought home a test with an A+ on it!!! Best of all we got our peaceful evenings back! We will definitely continue with Tutor Doctor this fall when school starts up again.”
“I just finished studying and now tomorrow I have chemistry and algebra finals! I feel more confident than I ever have for taking a big test. Thank you for all the help, and I couldn’t have done it without you!”
